My research interests are primarily in the area of positive youth development through sports and physical activity. I am particularly interested in how the perception of competence develops in youth athletes based on their goal orientations, perceptions of motivational climates and relationship quality.
My role in the department this year will be teaching statistical courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I believe statistical learning requires a theoretical foundation along with real-world applications. Class time will include a mix of lecture and hands on activities to support this learning.
