Spotlight on Research Labs:  Procrastination Research Group

Dr. Pychyl and his students are interested in procrastination – the self-defeating, voluntary and needless delay of an intended action. This failure at self-regulation applies to many things like whether we will study, exercise, or eat healthily. Dr. Pychyl and his students seek to understand the nature of this weakness of will as well as how we can develop better self-control to avoid these volitional failures. You can learn more about this research, listen to Dr. Pychyl’s iProcrastinate podcast and read his “Don’t Delay” blog on Psychology Today at procrastination.ca.
