The Housing Office provides an off-campus housing service for students. Notices of rooms, apartments, shared accommodations and houses located in the Ottawa region are posted outside of the Housing Office, 261 Stormont House, as well as on this web site. This information is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Listings posted on the website run for 30 days, after which, they will automatically be removed.
Free local phone service is available for your use as well as posted maps, bus route and off-campus meal plan information. As the information is updated frequently, lists for mailing purposes are not prepared.
Please note that posted accommodations are not inspected by the University.

Listings are arranged according to the area of the city in which they are located, with the newest listings appearing last. The ‘Latest Updates’ section includes listings entered the same day.
We suggest that, even if you are still considering residence living, you begin searching for suitable accommodation as soon as possible. Though many rentals available for September are not usually posted until July, we advise you to get in the habit of checking our web site listings as well as other resources. You may be able to get a head start before the rush comes in late July and August. Be prepared to invest the time and attention required to find a place to your liking.
Rent for furnished rooms in private homes range from $350 to $500 per month and apartments range from $650 to over $1,200 per month depending on the number of bedrooms, facilities, etc. Remember that rent will not be your only cost. Heating, cable, telephone, transportation, parking and food will be added expenses. Many students share apartments in order to reduce these costs.
It is essential that your search be undertaken in person – be prepared to invest the time and attention required to find a place to your liking.
